This is a kago natsume (tea caddy) by Nurishi Tsujii Seisai. It is a very beautiful natsume with a spring field maki-e design, depicting a beautiful spring scene. A butterfly is painted on the lid of the natsume. Please understand that this item was kept by my grandmother, who was a tea ceremony instructor for many years.
