I only used this during trips, so I didn't use it very often (less than 20 days). However, my cats tried to pry open the lid and scratched it, so there are many scratches on the lid. There is some lingering smell of pet food, but it's not too strong. I'm replacing it because I got a new, more advanced feeder. Includes power adapter, box, and instruction manual.
