Thank you for viewing. This is a nakazao shamisen made of rosewood, a three-piece folding type. The skin was replaced quite a while ago, and one side tore. To prevent warping, both sides were torn, and it was stored in a case in a three-piece folded state. A few weeks ago, I had a shamisen shop look at it, and they said the wood wasn't warped, so it would be fine if the skin was replaced. They said it would cost around 800,000 yen to buy a new one. Unlike the inexpensive, low-density wood that is common in recent years, this is high-quality rosewood from the mid-Showa era, so it has weight and I think the tone is good. Although it is a used item, I will include a Japanese-made koma (bridge) and case, so I think it would be good for those who want to step up from a practice shamisen or want a shamisen with a different tone.
