Please consider. ○ Description ○ This fukuro obi is Nishijin-ori. Shoen-zome is a dyeing method that uses yarn dyed with soot obtained by burning wood containing fats, such as pine. The yarn dyed with Shoen-zome has a muted color tone, not a sharp one. As you can see in the close-up image, the base of the obi fabric has fine curves. The curves look like waves of the sea or river, and the waves appear to undulate with the reflection of light. Also, washi yarn is used in some of the weft threads, and this washi yarn also does a wonderful job. Even if it's only a part, the inclusion of yarn with a different texture from silk makes the expression richer and more beautiful.
