The starting point was the reuse of wood scraps, and they purchased beech scraps from Akita Mokko Co., Ltd., a bentwood furniture company located nearby. Scraps are still used for the legs and back rails. Except for the backrest, all parts are rounded using a wood lathe, and there are no sharp edges, so safety is also considered in this children's chair. The Mizuki wood used for the seat and backrest is also a warm material, and the production area is Kitatohoku, including Akita, Aomori, and Iwate prefectures. This children's chair has been manufactured for two generations. [About Nakano Mokko] Founded in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture in the early Showa era as Nakano Hankimono Seisakusho. They cooperated in the manufacturing of turned parts for Akita Mokko, famous for bentwood furniture, while also taking orders for custom-made furniture. Currently, the company name is Nakano Mokko Co., Ltd., and they operate as a specialized company for custom-made furniture and fixtures. Nakano Mokko participates in the ORAe (Ora-e) project, which aims to deliver a rich life surrounded by wood from Akita, the land of forests and trees.
