This is a rug by Norbu (Norbulingka). It is a wool rug with a cotton warp. It's a very cute rug with bright red and bright green colors. The colors sparkle with the light, and they are not stuffy or heavy colors. It's less likely to appear as clear colors as in the 2nd and 3rd photos, and more likely to appear bright and whitish as in the 1st, 4th, and 11th photos. The pile is very dense, doesn't flatten, and is a very firm, heavy, yet soft rug. I'm told it was woven in a workshop in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, not Nepal. The motif is Tikuma. Size: Approximately 80cm x 159cm. It has a good thickness. Wool on cotton. White cotton fringes are stitched with green fabric (the fringes have not been cut). Please understand that it may not be beautifully finished as it was stitched by Mongor, and knots are visible. Since the fringes are not cut, they are a bit bulky. It's not sewn tightly to the length of the fringes, so it's uneven and loose. It has been used very little and has been stored rolled up for a long time. It was laid in the entrance for about a day, under a wooden bench for a few days, with ceramic chairs placed on it for a few hours, and briefly in the kitchen, but it was never used for relaxation. Although it hasn't been used much, it has been moved around. Mongor's house is not very clean, so the stitching fabric might be a little dingy (it doesn't look dingy at first glance, but there might be slight dark lines where marks have formed).
