I purchased this at Yamada Denki and stored it at home in a dark place after using it for less than a year. As shown in the image, the power turns on when plugged in, but I haven't set it up, so please take care of that yourself. I will include the remote control with batteries. I'm not very familiar with electronics, so I probably won't be able to answer detailed questions. Please purchase if you are not overly concerned about minor details. TV Remote Control
