I've used this with great care for about 5 years, and the key plating is very clean considering its age. It has a straight windway, allowing for a lot of breath. Rather than a focused, dense sound, it has a soft, expansive tone. Therefore, it's more suited for ensemble playing than solo performance. I had the joint corks replaced at the end of the year before last. The white parts of the joints are resin. I liked using it for its responsiveness, pleasant sound, and pitch flexibility, but I've recently replaced my ensemble recorders with a full set from YAMAHA.
