⚫︎︎ ⚫︎ ⚫︎ Product Overview #YAMAMI Old IKEA #YAMAMI Yamagiwa #YAMAMI Nordic The Danish lighting manufacturer "Quality System (1965-85)" produced "flat-pack" furniture, similar to IKEA's at the time of its founding (Photo 3). They are all very space-age and Panton-esque. The main designer for Quality System was "Gunner Jensen." Gunner Jensen also worked on IKEA furniture at the time. This is a set of ① a shade and pendant socket, and ② a shade only. Both are from the 1970s and made by Quality System, designed by Gunner Jensen. ② has its original outer box, making it a rare item for documentation. In the black and white photo, it is hanging in the middle of a Seven Chair. Both are highly valued on overseas auctions and flea market sites. Especially ② is listed at an unusually high price... (Photos 15, 16) Both are yellow, so they would look cohesive if hung together. Below is a description of each item. ① Size: Height 300, Width/Depth 270, Cord 1300 Bulb size: E26 This light has a beautiful glow that emanates from the geometric arrangement of plastic. The socket is from Yamagiwa, and it seems they carried it at the time. There are damaged areas, so please see photos 17, 18, and 19. The color is light, so it doesn't stand out much when viewed from a distance (20). There is also some fading and scratches on the transparent parts. Also, the ceiling cup is secured with metal fittings to prevent it from slipping. ② Size: Height 260, Width/Depth 260 This is just the shade and parts. Please prepare a pendant socket for use. It is not intended for use as a light fixture. The outer box is included. The outer box has a large tear. There are some dullness and black spots on the shade and parts. Overall, it gives a clean impression. Both are from the 1970s. Please forgive any damage not mentioned here. Major damage is shown in the photos. Please understand that I have marked them as "slightly damaged" considering their age.
