Buzz Rickson's G-1. As the photos show, the previous owner disliked the original reddish-brown color and dyed the leather parts black using Dye-Q. I also preferred a darker black, so I applied more Dye-Q. After that, I regularly applied vegetable oil. Dye-Q is quite excellent, and it doesn't feel like it's been applied, giving it a texture similar to the original color. The fur around the neck and the ribbing on each part have been masked to prevent color transfer. It seems the previous owner also removed the patch on the back, which left some stitching marks, but I think this adds to the overall cool look. The chest patch remains, and after dyeing it black, I lightly sprayed it to make the patch less noticeable.
