This is a Chinese inkstone with a ro-mon pattern, from a somewhat older period. It has an octagonal shape with four feet on the back, which is characteristic of the Qing dynasty's four-footed inkstones, although I'm unsure if this piece is from that era. However, it's likely been around for about eighty years, and the surface of the carvings shows some wear. Such pieces are of great historical value, and typically trade for hundreds of thousands of yen. It's also quite heavy, probably around ten kilograms. I acquired this one for under ten thousand yen, so I'm offering it at a fraction of its usual value. What do you think of this price?
