This item was used over 15 years ago. I confirmed that it works, and recording itself was possible. I haven't checked the sound quality because I'm not currently using it and don't have the right environment. It sounded fine at a quick listen. As you can see in the photos, it's quite dirty, and the plastic on the microphone holder has melted and adhered to it... I tried wiping it with disinfectant wipes, but it didn't work...
