There are notes mainly in the second half (about a third) of the book. The content covered varies depending on the lecture and the instructor, but it is recommended for those who are taking French I for the first time or for only one semester. There are some minor scratches on the cover, but it is in good condition for a used item and I think it can still be used. This is a very good textbook, so please consider it.
