This is a Nito Mishima bowl, featuring Mishima inlay on the inside and a brushstroke pattern on the outside. The body tapers towards a small foot, creating a clean and refreshing look. If a lid were made for it, it would be perfect as a mizusashi (water container) for the summer morning tea ceremony, brimming with water and exuding a cool atmosphere. Togo Kobayashi was a restorer of Yi Dynasty pottery and is also famous for his calligraphy and seal carving.
