The M-65 is the quintessential field jacket, with a design so complete that it's still widely worn today, despite being adopted in the 1960s. Officially adopted as the US military's field uniform in 1965. Developed as the successor to the M-51 series used in the Korean War, it served on the front lines until the early 1981s when it began to be replaced by the BDU. Originally made for cold regions, it has buttons for attaching a liner. We've replicated the satin fabric, a blend of cotton and nylon, based on an actual sample. This is a confident creation, meticulously crafted with the materials, details, and vintage-style aluminum zippers. The M-65 is broadly classified into four eras, and this is the 2nd model, featuring an aluminum zip and epaulets. We've reproduced the gray liner, a characteristic of specific years and manufacturers within the 2nd model. It's also famous for being worn by Robert De Niro in the movie "TAXI DRIVER." Available in two colors: the rarely seen OLIVE DRAB in the vintage market, and the versatile BLACK. Two lengths are available: REGULAR and SHORT.
