The beginning of Sanuki Kinma lacquerware dates back to Tamakachi Zokoku, the founder of the Sanuki (Kagawa Prefecture) lacquerware industry, who perfected Kinma-nuri and completed it with his unique techniques. Designated as an intangible cultural property in 1953 and a traditional craft in 1976. This is a wooden, carved, colored, genuine lacquerware vase.
