For sale: Antique cloth, approximately 185 x 104cm in size, made before 1910 (Meiji 43). This is the outer fabric of a futon believed to have been used by the high priest Nishiaru Bokuzan, a native of Aomori Prefecture and the head priest of the Soto Zen sect, when he stayed at our home. We have carefully preserved it for many years, but have decided to sell it as we are clearing out the cotton filling and only have the fabric remaining. We hope to find someone who is interested in it. There is a tear in the center of the fabric and small needle holes where the cotton filling was attached. The fabric is in good condition for a Meiji-era piece, but please understand that it is an antique item before purchasing.
