This is a hanhaba obi (half-width obi). It belonged to a relative who practiced Japanese traditional dance. The fabric is vermilion and features auspicious animal patterns such as phoenixes, deer, lions, and horses, which are considered messengers of the gods. I believe this is a rare design. The material is likely 100% polyester. Size: Approximately 15cm x 346cm It can be used with casual kimonos (such as wool). It has been used only a few times and is in good condition.
