Scratches were made at the base when pulling them out. Purchased at a Buddhist statue carving class in Meguro, Tokyo. The handles were shaped and painted by the owner. 10 round gouges were sold separately on Mercari. The original purchase, including the round gouges, was 20 pieces for 100,000 yen.
