The holes in the base are for securing the doll with white vinyl string, and no nails are used. There is a stain on the torso, but the body, face, hair, and limbs have no scratches or discoloration and move smoothly. It is difficult to make it sit, but it is possible with some effort. I will pack it carefully and ship it, but it may be delayed due to the New Year's holiday.
