The light blue part is a盛り塩 (morishio - salt offering). Morishio is performed with the wish to ward off evil and open up good fortune. Many places also place morishio for business prosperity. We have created morishio using orgonite. It does not need to be replaced for one year. Depending on the environment where it is used, the salt may ooze out onto the surface when it absorbs negative energy. This is a sign that it is fulfilling its role as morishio.
