I bought it when it was released because it could stream audio from my smartphone to my TV, stereo, or speakers, but I stopped using it after network transporters and Bluetooth receivers were released. I found it while organizing my audio equipment during a thorough cleaning, and after checking the sound, the audio from my smartphone played through the 3.5mm jack. It's scratched and dirty, but there are no operational issues. The 3.5mm audio jack also supports digital output, making it an inexpensive streaming-compatible DDC.
