【Rare!】Brand New, Unused Tokyo Kago-zome (Basket Dyeing) Yukata Bolt of Fabric, Honzome (Authentic Dyeing), Katazome (Stencil Dyeing), possibly Chikusen? Fabric Width: 35cm 100% Cotton 幻の技巧 (Maboroshi no Giko): Kago-zome (Basket Dyeing) The fabric is passed between two rotating rollers etched with different patterns, and then stencil-dyed and immersed, resulting in different patterns on the front and back. This is a reversible dyeing method passed down from the Taisho era. Kago-zome is no longer produced today, making it very valuable. The last company to produce this was Chikusen, so there is no marking, but it may be Chikusen fabric. Recommended for both men and women, with colors and patterns suitable for either. There is some slight discoloration on the exposed part, but there appears to be no damage or stains on the fabric (the basting thread is still attached, so I cannot confirm the entire bolt of fabric).
