Around this time, the Bulls Eye logo wasn't present, and it seems they welded a base to a commercially available ligature to attach the Super Balancer, and then plated it. Also, the Super Balancer, designed to amplify reed vibrations, was sold separately. The ligature is satin gold plated. Only the Super Balancer is gold plated.
