For sale: Famous FS-5G. High-G specification. 12F joint, 15F total, reaching the third octave "Do" (C). Lead solo parts of "Fragile" can also be played. Purchased in November 2025. Being a straightforward person, when my elementary school-aged relative said they wanted to learn a musical instrument before entering middle school, I asked, "How about trying the ukulele?" They replied, "Yeah, that sounds fun!" So I thought, "Let's make it a Christmas present." I chose this ukulele considering: 1_ High basic performance 2_ Good materials used 3_ Easy to play for beginners I own Kamaka HF-1, HF-2, and Bell Concert, and I'm a big fan of Jake, with about 21 years of ukulele experience. Being accustomed to the Kamaka sound, I chose the core-bodied FS-5G. After playing it for about 30 minutes, I felt, "Something's a little off." I thought the included strings were easy to press down and good for beginners. However, the high tones lacked sustain, and it vibrated, or perhaps buzzed? The high range wasn't stable. (This is just my personal opinion.) So, I replaced them with Orcas Suzuki Tomoki signature strings. Then, it sounded exactly like an HF-1, with a bright, "rolling" sound, the quintessential ukulele sound. It has a core body, rosewood fingerboard, and geared pegs. It's equipped with more than its price suggests, and the tuning accuracy improved further, making it easier to distinguish the tonal differences. I thought, "This is perfect!" and was going to give it as a present, but then I got hit with a counterpunch: "I want to play the guitar." As a result, this ukulele had no place to go. I'm putting it up for sale to help fund the purchase of a guitar. Therefore, the actual playing time is less than an hour, and it's practically in new condition. The included soft case is flimsy, so I'm also including a new Ibanez gig bag. (No. 16) Furthermore, as a year-end gift, a BOSS tuner and a neck strap (unused) are included (No. 17). I believe it's in near-new condition, but it has been owned by someone else. Please consider purchasing only if you don't mind. Thank you for reading to the end.
