Compared to the teeth of other theropods like the Tyrannosauridae, Suchomimus teeth are better suited for piercing than tearing flesh, suggesting they preyed on fish and small terrestrial animals. This fossil exhibits remarkable striations (line patterns) on the crown. These striations may allow air to enter the space between the tooth and the flesh, reducing friction and enabling the tooth to pierce prey smoothly. The shadows created by light are very beautiful.
