The Shofuku charm has welcomed many visitors as the boundary of the Meiji Jingu Shrine since its establishment in 1920. The South Approach Torii (Harajuku Entrance First Torii) was rebuilt as part of the commemorative project for the 100th anniversary of its founding, which was celebrated in 2020. The "Josaishofuku charm" was made using the wood (Taiwan cypress, 1300 years old) from the old South Approach Torii, which had completed its long role, to pray for the removal of all disasters and the bringing of good fortune.
