I've been using these for about two years. I used a set of 10 handkerchiefs, one each day, so I don't think each one was used that often. These are two of them. I realized it had been about 5 years since I last used them, so I decided to list them. I took good care of them, so they're in good condition and still usable. I washed them with unscented soap. There's no transfer of detergent or fabric softener scents. You also don't have to wash them before using them, like you would with a new item, so you can start using them right away, which is a plus.
