This is a beautiful purple obi with a lovely, rhythmic leaf pattern. There is some discoloration on the white flower parts. There are areas that look like weaving flaws or unevenness. There are areas on the reverse side of the otaiko (back of the obi knot) where the color has faded. There may be other unnoticed stains, fraying, or fading. There is a storage odor. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to these issues, as this is not a new item. I believe this is a Matsuba-style obi, but for storage reasons, I have folded the top part of the otaiko into a triangle.
