The wood species is Claro Walnut Burl. This North American wood is the result of grafting two types of walnut, which, due to rejection, produced a very beautiful grain. Among them, burl wood is extremely valuable, possessing the highest level of beauty and rarity among walnut materials. The PG5 has been a masterpiece of drafting mechanical pencils for over 50 years. It continues to be loved by many people. The original is loved for its very light writing feel, and you won't get tired even after writing for a long time. Takamura Moku Koubou's PG5 wooden body custom maximizes the original's goodness. The design maintains the slim form, and the wooden body was created with minimal metal, using the original parts as they are, so the weight is kept to 12-14g. By concentrating the center of gravity on the gripping part, it fits the fingers and reproduces a light writing feel without applying force. The wooden body can be removed and replaced. The wooden body uses a penetrating inorganic glass coating. After drying, the wood and the glass of the coating adhere, producing high hardness. It has high waterproof and stain-resistant effects, and can be used for a long period of time with no maintenance.
