This is for Honey's House and Honey's Mansion. Japanese honeybees prefer weathered boxes, so professionals sometimes prepare them a year in advance. The external dimensions are 33cm x 33cm, the internal dimensions are 27cm x 27cm, and the height is 15cm. The thickness is 3cm, which provides a comfortable environment against summer heat and winter cold. The comb support bars are shaved to 8mm. There are various ways to attach the support bars, such as a cross or a grid pattern, but too many can bother the bees, so we attach two parallel bars. Therefore, if you increase the number of boxes, please set the support bars of the upper box vertically if the support bars of the lower box are horizontal. This allows you to achieve a grid-like effect with fewer bars. By the time you harvest honey, you should have four or five boxes stacked, so one of them will be supporting the comb, and even if you cut the top layer, the comb will not fall. If you plan to use this for other beehives, please ensure you understand the dimensions before purchasing. Please note that as this is handmade, there may be slight variations of around ±2mm due to the manufacturing process or wood expansion/contraction. Incidentally, if the colony is strong and the comb grows without issues, we stack up to 5-6 boxes including the entrance box in the fall. Therefore, if you already own one set of the Honey's series, we recommend purchasing an additional 2-3 boxes.
