Using a standard smartphone or tablet's mini-stereo (3.5mm) connection may result in poor sound quality due to insufficient power, so a USB dongle DAC is recommended. The 3.5mm output of older iPhones/iPads can provide sufficient volume and good sound quality. Burn-in (Aging): While opinions vary, I have occasionally experienced significant changes in the first few days. Sound Quality (Frequency/Phase) Trends (PRX, PR3, PR2, ZSN Pro 2): Basically, a V-shaped sound signature. The three planar magnetic models have aligned phases, resulting in a strong sense of direction and a narrower soundstage, with high resolution. Each has its own unique characteristics and should not be chosen simply by release order. Female vocals and high-pitched male vocals are clearly audible. ZSN Pro 2: Very similar to the PRX. Slightly boosted high frequencies. Can achieve high volume. PR3: Shrill.
