Akamatsu Ryushi Haiga (Haiku Paintings) - Set of 13 and Hanging Scroll This set includes haiga corresponding to each month from January to December, along with a calligraphy of the character "Kotobuki" (Longevity). Hanging scroll: 130cm x 32cm, unused. The haiga show signs of aging, but are in good condition without any noticeable spots. (In my personal opinion, the white background of the March Hina doll shikishi appears slightly yellowed.) Brand stickers are affixed to the back of all the shikishi. Some have minor corner damage, but as shown in the images, it is not noticeable when hung on the scroll. It is likely that my aunt, a calligrapher, also enjoyed haiga, and either owned these, or my grandmother, who ran a teahouse near Gion Ichiriki Chaya, displayed them on the hanging scrolls in some of the rooms. Akamatsu Ryushi (real name: Masatsugu, born in Shodoshima, Kagawa Prefecture, 1901-1974, founder of "Sakyu" (Sand Dune)). He studied haiku with Matsuse Seisei ("Kencho") and Japanese painting with Mori Niho, later establishing "Ryushi Haiga." He authored numerous books. He is connected to the renowned Hekisui Takenaka. There is a stone monument at Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Please read the following carefully: There may be deterioration, stains, and minor scratches due to aging.
