This is a chinrest by Gerald Crowson. The material is a high-quality rosewood with a tight grain, almost black in color, and weighs approximately 89g (I believe it can be used as a substitute for ebony). The reddish-brown wood grain appears depending on the light, making it very attractive. A comparison image with boxwood is included in the last image.
