Yakusugi Wooden Vase, Approximately 31cm Tall, with Stand This wooden vase features the beautiful wood grain and deep reddish-brown color of Yakusugi cedar. It is said to have been carved from Yakusugi cedar trees that are over a thousand years old, and has been carefully mirror-finished by a craftsman. The wood grain appears to float depending on the light, creating a work with a quiet presence. ■Condition There are two cracks from the bottom to the body, and a small dent on the side (see photos).
