This is a listing for a SONY HVR-Z5J HDV camcorder. Due to a tape drive malfunction, the overall condition is poor. ▪️Malfunction: When a tape is inserted, an error message "Check the erase prevention tab" appears, after which the tape mechanism no longer lowers. As shown in photos 11 and 12, it remains in the raised position. Those who can repair or replace the tape mechanism may still be able to use it. Although not included, recording may be possible by using the HVR-MRC1K memory recording unit. It is a G lens model. The condition of each ring is good and can be used without problems. The built-in microphone works without issue. External microphone audio and 48V power supply are normal. The internal memory battery is alive. Both the LCD viewfinder and VF display clearly. Please refer to the photos for the hours meter reading. This is a basic inspection, and not all detailed operations have been confirmed. Due to the tape drive malfunction, this item is listed as junk. The item will be shipped as the main unit only. Please note that the battery and mini DV tape used for testing are not included.
