This is a handwoven chambray (hemp) linen cloth acquired at a flea market in the south of France. Handwoven chambray linen by a Provençal farm woman. This type of cloth is meant to be used as a picnic blanket, and has a rough, thick, and durable texture. It's a clean, plain design except for the red initial embroidery. How about using it as a blindfold, cover, or rug? ● There is one area with a burn-like fraying (photos 9 and 10). Since it is quite old, there are stains, fraying, dirt, and mixed threads. * After purchasing at the flea market, it has not been washed.
