This is a Japanese razor made of Yasugi steel.
Carbon steel made in the Yasugi region, a famous production area for Izumo special product Tamahagane (high-quality steel).
It is widely known as a high-quality blade steel material, along with Tamahagane, Swedish steel, and British Phoenix steel.
It has a good cutting edge and is easy to sharpen.
It has been sharpened with a natural whetstone and cordovan leather strop to the point where it can shave a beard.
You can use it as is. Please feel free to do extra finishing and adjustments as you like.

Hard, slightly Karasu (crow's feather pattern), good quality.
Ayame-dani has a long history among Kyoto natural whetstones.
A mountain that lines up with Takayama and Gosenryo.
It has a history of nearly 900 years and is one of the mines that represent Umegahata, where Yokozuna-class whetstones such as Oototsu, Okudono, and Nakayama were produced.
The quality is comparable to Nakayama, Okudono, and Oototsu, and thin whetstones are easier to sharpen when attached to a board.
Tono-ko (Masahonyama) is powder from natural whetstones only.
When sharpening, mixing an appropriate amount with water on the whetstone will give you a quick and good blade.
