The pocket watches of JNR (Japanese National Railways) clocks were made by Seiko, while Citizen Homer watches were used for wristwatches. The back cover is engraved with "昭51 467 中国地自" (Showa 51 467 Chugoku Jiji). This is presumed to be the engraving at the time of issue by the Chugoku Regional Motor Vehicle Bureau of the JNR. The dial features Arabic numeral indexes, providing an excellent design for visibility. It is equipped with a 21-jewel hand-winding movement, and, as befitting a railway watch, it has a second-hand stop function. The surface of the crown is engraved with the "CTZ" mark.
