This is an old Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. It's a piece with a graceful crane maki-e design on a time-honored Hinode-nuri background. The large crane maki-e on the vermilion lacquer is simple and charming. There are some minor edge scratches as shown in the images. The size is 13.4 cm in diameter and 9 cm in height.
