The DSP series amplifier was developed by YAMAHA specifically to pursue theater-like sound effects. This unit excels in output (practical maximum 180W + 180W), sound quality/sound field adjustment functions, and speaker configuration capabilities. In this respect, it is a mid-range model but possesses the specifications and functions of a higher-end model (see instruction manual p. 84, etc.). Audio sources include TV, CD, LD, MD, record player, and FM/AM tuner. Regarding video, it is inferior to recent models in terms of functionality and operability.
