I purchased this about a year ago at Nero Gakki in Shibuya. It is made in Germany. It is attached to the leadpipe, and the mouthpiece is inserted into it for use. If excessive pressure is applied to the lips, the spring will compress, air will leak from the adapter, and no sound will be produced. Please understand that this is a used item and may have scratches or dirt. It is currently difficult to obtain in Japan.
