I bought this intending to use it for a Shichi-Go-San (Children's Day) visit, but it was a very warm day and I couldn't use it, so it has been stored in the closet unused. There are no clips to hold it in place, and it seems to be designed to be fastened with a sparkling rhinestone brooch. I was planning to fasten it with a large safety pin and then attach the brooch on top, so if you'd like, I'll include a large safety pin in the brooch bag.
