Kobayashi has a wide range of achievements, but he doesn't seem to have been very interested in photo books. He has authored books that include photos, and some that feature photos of live performances. This book, while in the form of a photo book, is part of a project that combined the album and video, featuring the hit single "Amane wa Chopin no Shirabe" (The Sound of Rain is Chopin) that year. It doesn't have a standalone concept like a "gravure showdown" photo book. Kobayashi himself seems to have been open to being photographed, as he has shown his bare body not only in movies but also in gravure spreads in magazines, so we can only assume that he wasn't interested in photo books. This is the only way to see Kobayashi in print, but it cannot be highly or poorly rated as a photo book. As he is close to a legend, the market price is accordingly high.
