A beautiful, rare 1980s analog drum machine, the "Sound Master Memory Rhythm SR-88," with its original box and instruction manual. This machine has a unique, lo-fi sound, and software emulations of it are now available. The functions are simple: you can memorize bass drum, snare, hi-hat, and cymbal patterns and play them back while adjusting the tone and speed. It runs on four AA batteries or an adapter, but since I don't have the adapter, I've confirmed it works with batteries. There is no crackling or noise from any of the knobs. The battery holder was corroded and had a broken wire, so I replaced it with a new one. The new battery holder is slightly larger, so while it closes properly, it's a tight fit. There's a paint chip next to the tempo knob, and some minor scratches. There's a dent on the right side of the unit, but it's evenly placed and seems to be a characteristic of this machine. It appears to sell for over $300 overseas. This is a rare, beautiful example of a quirky, lo-fi drum machine, complete with its box and manual, so collectors, don't miss out!
