They feature a beautiful ripple pattern unique to the layered steel that appears on the blade's surface, and they use cobalt-containing molybdenum vanadium stainless steel. By using highly wear-resistant steel for the layered steel, the knives maximize their characteristics as cutting tools. The handles are shaped to fit comfortably in the hand and are made of durable laminated reinforced wood.
