Shigeru Kimura　Retro Biography Born in Nara Prefecture in 1929. Graduated from Kobe City Foreign Language College (now Kobe University of Foreign Studies), Department of English and American Studies in 1953, and joined National City Bank. In 1957, he switched from oil painting to copperplate printmaking and was mentored by Shigeru Izumi. Exhibited at the Tokyo International Print Biennial in 1962. Resigned from National City Bank in 1965 and devoted himself to painting. Participated in the Florence International Print Biennial in 1970. Highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally, including exhibitions at the Ljubljana International Print Exhibition in 1973 and the German International Print Exhibition in 1974.
