These items were actively produced around the 1940s in Nagoya City and Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, primarily for export to Europe and America. These are cup & saucer sets made for overseas export. The wooden box and wood shavings were crumbling, so I disposed of them. The actual plates have more dullness than the images show. These will be appreciated by people from foreign countries. These are rare pieces, hand-painted rather than transfer-printed. (When you hold the bottom of the cup up to the light, a cute geisha appears.) Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item. Please understand that there may be scratches, scuffs, and initial imperfections from the manufacturing process.
