The item I am offering for sale is a Wedgwood ASIA cup & saucer, 1 piece, vintage, pre-trademark registration, a valuable item. ~ASIA~ This is a vintage item that is no longer available in the market. It is a pre-trademark registration item from Wedgwood. (It is a very valuable item as there is no "R" after WEDGWOOD on the backstamp.) It is a cup & saucer with a chic, deep sage color and an oriental design in white and gold. The cup has double gold gilding on the foot, and the base of the handle is also carefully gilded. Based on the backstamp, it was manufactured from 1962 to 1972 (the series was manufactured until 1976). It is similar to the current Lee shape, but as the name ASIA suggests, the cup and handle have a slightly rounded, friendly shape. (It's like a teacup with a handle and a foot, and it's a very relaxing shape.) Size (approx. cm) Cup: Diameter 8.4 x Height 6.5 Saucer: Diameter 14.6 x Height 1.9 I inspected the item for this sale. This is only a visual inspection by an amateur. Although it is an old item from 50 to 60 years ago, there are no cracks, chips, scratches, or crazing. There are no noticeable scratches. The gold gilding has some areas that are slightly faded when you look closely, but none of them are noticeable, and I think it is a beautiful item overall for a vintage piece.
