The tradition has been passed down through many changes since then. It boasts its reputation as a high-class traditional craft (designated as the first in the nation in Showa 50), and has established a solid position as a local product, being familiar to many people as a daily necessity. It was created by the precious sweat and effort of our predecessors, and is a traditional culture that our hometown is proud of. We believe it is our mission to continue to protect the traditional techniques of the past, while also working on the development of designs that are widely accepted in modern lifestyles, and to connect them to the future.
